Written in a remote location, a long way from home, with a blunt 20 pence piece for a guitar pick and on guitar strings heavy with dust and mud. And on my return, recorded with spontaneity in the time left after a studio session was complete. A live recording of a song about emptiness, about yearning, and ultimately about a warm feeling when thinking of the future that awaits you. I have such fondness for this song because of the time it reminds me of and where it takes me to. It was recorded and produced in the spirit of the simple surroundings in which it was written. I hope some of that translates.
